Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) is presently seeking a Manager, Streaming Marketing [TEMP] in the company's Santa Monica, CA location reporting to the Senior Director, Streaming Marketing and Creator Strategy. The foundations of the Streaming Marketing team include digital, lifestyle, and creator/influencer marketing strategy. We work to integrate insights, community engagement, paid media and performance metrics into campaigns and look to reach new audiences with innovative, proactive and reactive opportunities.
Working exclusively in the streaming and track moments space, core functions of this role involve supporting artists streaming marketing efforts in the creation and implementation of digital campaigns to increase fan engagement across short-form platforms, developing our owned audiences across short-form platforms, optimizing artist catalogs and working with external and internal partners to secure support and track / artist growth. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our viral marketing campaigns, overseeing insights analysis, reporting, and marketing execution in a high paced environment. The ideal candidate has superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, while meeting tight deadlines.
How You'll Rock the Role
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Streaming Marketing, creator marketing team and Audience Growth leads to develop innovative, track-driven marketing campaigns aimed to proactively and reactively increase artist and track visibility
- Align with team to generate + edit weekly campaign progress reports for both internal and external distribution
- Organized + detail oriented – you will be the central point of gathering critical information that is fluid and constantly changing
- Proven ability to effectively manage timelines, due dates, and proactive in creating opportunities
- Well versed in social trends, platforms + strategies: including short form content, narratives and sound consumption on short-form platforms
- Deep experience with influencer and creator marketing campaigns, the landscape, key creators, micro communities + how to develop campaigns that aim to grow audience and drive streaming consumption
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies around track moments that drive streaming consumption and artist visibility
- Oversee track moment and thematic campaign execution, with a focus on US + global audience engagement to grow short and long-term audiences
- Liaise closely with artists and their representatives to build a foundation of trust and optimize potential
- Demonstrate a working understanding of general digital marketing data points from social media, streaming and digital advertising
- Innovate and be proactive in bringing progressive partnerships and inspiring ideas to the team
- Be a trusted team member who understands how to collaborate with the broader Audience Growth team and other cross-functional teams at UMe, including Creator Marketing, Project Managers, International, Content, Commercial, Radio, Production, A&R and Publicity
What We're Looking For
- 2-4+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, creative agency, or similar fields
- Ability to effectively multi-task and operate effectively in a high-pressured environment
- A self-starter, obsessed with the details and optimization
- A strong grasp of reporting + what information should be included in update reports
- Excitement and deep understanding of social trends and how to trace them
- Strong understanding of creator and influencer marketing and how it connects to music consumption
- Experience in global music digital marketing, ideally working across genres
- Understanding of the technology and marketplace powering today and tomorrow's music industry
- Deep knowledge of advertising, fan engagement and analytics
- Curiosity and openness to learn, as well as surfacing new opportunities to the team
- Proven ability to communicate and be a trusted team member
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Discretion necessary to work with sensitive projects and teams
- Bachelors degree preferred
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $28.89/hour - $38.51/hour
