Which Bandmember are You?

This role reports into the UMG catalog division (UMe) and the UMG Global Marketing team as a dedicated resource to Disney Music Group (DMG), specifically in the international streaming and catalog space.

 

How You'll Rock the Role

  • Manage reporting for Disney catalog streaming internationally by maintaining and developing relevant reports and data dashboards across various streaming metrics.
  • Optimize Disney international playlists across major DSPs with a data-driven lens while leveraging SQL, Excel, and UMG proprietary/3rd party tools.
  • Proactively analyze international streaming trends and catalog marketing strategy in collaboration with teams at both UMG and DMG.
  • Work internationally with UMG local teams and DMG to align across company priorities and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Field ad hoc requests ranging from overarching catalog trends research to daily track, artist, and playlist performance analysis.
  • Responsible for data visualization and in-person presentation to key stakeholders.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for music, particularly for Disney music, and its relevance internationally (including the importance of localized catalog)
  • Advanced understanding of SQL, Excel, BigQuery (or other data warehouse), and data visualization/reporting tools (like Lookerstudio, Domo, etc.).
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and presenting findings and strategy to stakeholders including data and non-data audiences.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of global streaming landscape and trends across both global DSPs (Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.), local DSPs (NetEase, Anghami, Line, etc.), and other partners (TikTok, Meta, etc.).
  • Experience curating and optimizing a high volume of playlists using a wide variety of metrics.
  • Excellent at troubleshooting systems and solutions across inconsistent data sets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possession of strong people and communication skills with the ability to sit across several different teams while juggling priorities and ad hoc requests effectively.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record in growing ROI across streaming verticals.
  • Understanding of marketing campaigns, their relevant metrics, and streaming KPIs.

 

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $30.00/hour - $40.00/hour
